Foreign Policy
In its short tenure, this administration has endangered long-standing alliances and introduced significant doubt about our reliability and commitment as an ally. Our national interests, and the preservation of our constitutional and economic liberties, are our first priority. We cannot dismantle our defenses and court tyrants and dictators at the expense of our credibility as a force for good among law-abiding nations that respect human rights. American foreign policy cannot be grounded on apologies that demonstrate evidence historical ignorance and denigrate our nation.
As your Congressman, I will:
- Support meaningful international dialogue with rogue states so long as verifiable progress reducing threats is allowed by those states, while maintaining our intelligence and defense capabilities against nations threatening the peace and security of America and her allies
- Support sanctions against states that engage in repression of human rights
- Support, recognize and respect the unique and necessary role of the United States as not only the world’s strongest military power, but also the strongest advocate of freedom, equality and democracy in the world
- Support unconditionally the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign nation
