What The Left Is Really Afraid Of

By Bob Giuda, on May 6, 2010

The Democratic Governors Association has characterized members of the Tea Party movement as “political terrorists”. And well they might, for Democrat elitism and worship of government as the source of all good is the direct antithesis of what our Founding Fathers envisioned for America. Government encroachment on our liberties and intrusion in our lives is precisely what gave birth to the Tea Party and the 912 movements.

As Americans wake up to the intellectual dishonesty of those claiming to support freedom, even as they legislate massive entitlements that mandate dependency on government, these demagogues have every reason to be afraid – not for their lives, but for the impending loss of the plush trappings of the public offices which they have used for their own gain at the expense of our freedom and our national security.

America Is Ours To Lose

By Bob Giuda, on Apr 22, 2010

America spends tens of billions of dollars each year on a "war on drugs", even as the Obama Administration endorses Afghanistan’s continued production of 90% of the world's opium. Despite the perpetual “war on drugs”, you can find a ready supply of heroin and other drugs in any town, city, school or prison in America.

We borrow billions of dollars from China to fight a war in Afghanistan.

We spend lives and money trying to establish democracy in a place where tribal warlords oppose it and the absence of a middle class cannot sustain it.

Dependency or Freedom?

By Bob Giuda, on Jan 31, 2010

If you want to recover from an economic meltdown, you don’t send hundreds of billions of dollars to the banks that caused it. You don’t spend it paving highways and buying used cars. You don’t shield the Fed from accountability. And you don’t call it “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.” It wasn’t an act. It was an outrage.

Congress and the Administration ignored the American people, wasted $1 trillion on a failed “Stimulus Package”, and quadrupled the federal deficit in 1 year. Then they blamed the last Administration for the bailout debacle while using the remaining monies as a political slush fund.

Not On My Watch

By Bob Giuda, on Oct 29, 2009

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

This oath, taken by every member of Congress, says one thing and one thing only: that their sworn obligation is to protect the principles embodied in our Constitution so that future generations of Americans will be free. Many of them are betraying that promise, as they pass bill after bill, heaping ruinous debt on our citizens, and fostering socialism with government takeovers of major segments of our economy.
